‘Sunless Shadows’ invited to Melbourne Int’l Filmfest

Iranian documentary ‘Sunless Shadows’ has been scheduled to participate at the 2020 Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) in Australia.

Made by Mehrdad Oskouee, the documentary narrates the story of five young women who are jailed in a small juvenile detention center for murder.

Through breathtaking monologues, the women clarify the circumstances of the murders and even their motives.

The 74-minute documentary has gone on screen at some global events, including the 60th Krakow Film Festival in Poland, the 19th DocPoint - Helsinki Documentary Film Festival in Finland, the 17th Big Sky doc filmfest and the Museum of Modern Art in New York in the US.

MIFF is one of the world’s oldest film festivals and showcases exceptional filmmaking.

It provides filmmakers and audiences a transformative experience.

The 2020 edition will be held online on August 6-23, 2020.
